a new experiment for us. fruit with greens blended. matt said, ” it tastes like grass, strawberry grass. i like it.” i like it too. we could save ourselves some money apparently by just eating our front lawn.

Last night I was thinking about all the awesome baby clothing we received, and how we probably have way too much. He only wears one outfit a day, I thought. He’ll never wear it all. Today he proved me very wrong by peeing, pooing or spitting up on no less than five outfits and two changing table covers.

Easter Birthday

Today, sandwiched between Easter Sunday and Good Friday, is my birthday. However they figure it it’s the earliest Easter will ever be in my life, but it offers a chance to compare the two. Today people will celebrate my physical life by giving me hugs, cards, notes of affirmation; my wife will give me a kiss…and tomorrow I’ll join the church in celebrating our spritual birthday, Easter Sunday. While we are out celebrating, the church is mourning the torture of the Son. While my birthday isn’t very meaningful compared to the celebration of the resurrection, without the latter the former would have no substance at all. Thanks be to God for the best day. Happy Easter.
