the occasional update

we are obviously not too devoted to this blog. i’m sure our loyal readers are so bummed. but then again my husband and i are the entirety of loyal readership. hi, babe, i love you! anyway, the whole purpose of this is to keep people updated, especially as we are pursuing moving overseas. in happy news, we were granted time off from work so in may we are headed west. we are thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness to us. it wasn’t within our understanding how things would work out and we felt anxious but there was no need.

work is a challenge for both matt and tori. we appreciate your prayers there.

Justice

I try to stay away from politics nowadays because I think the cause is so temporal and the consequences of the means often outweigh the benefits of the situation, but I think it important to advocate justice.  I belive that justice is the road to peace not the elimination of one’s enemies.  A friend emailed this article to me about the current situation in Iraq and paralells to Vietnam and below is my response.   I apoligize for the length but wanted to explain in the detail that the tragedy deserves.  If you would like to read please click on the link below.
